Named for the Yamhill Indians, the county is bordered by Washington County to the north, Tillamook County to the west, Polk County to the south, and Marion and Clackamas Counties to the east.The county’s primary industries ate farming and dairy farming. It is the oldest County in the state of Oregon. There are several wineries in the county. One of the popular attractions in the County is Evergreen Aviation Museum, home of the famous “Spruce Goose”. Activities in the county include picnicking, boating, bird watching, and fishing.
