Historic Old Town in Florence, Oregon

Siuslaw River Bridge

Historic Old Town is located on the waterfront just below the Siuslaw River Bridge, in Florence. On any Oregon weekend you can visit this celebrated area. A casual stroll along the streets will take you to art galleries, antique stores, and gift and specialty shops. Spend the day exploring the Siuslaw River or the nearby tide pools. Enjoy an ice cream or maybe a fine espresso as you wander around enjoying your day.

Close by you can find the Darlingtonia Wayside and the Oregon Dunes. A few miles north you can visit the Sea Lion Caves or the Heceta Head Lighthouse.

Birds of Florence

Fishing, camping, and hiking are just a few of the local activities. There are also many varieties of birds to see and photograph and if you get lucky you might even see a whale as it passes by the Oregon Coast.
