Jackson Lee Morrow an early settler in the area,is where the county got its name. The County is bordered by the Columbia River on the north, Umatilla County on the east, Grant County on the south, and Gilliam County on the west.Water sports, camping, fishing, and site-seeing abound throughout the County. During the winter there are areas for Snowmobiling. The principal industries in the county today include agriculture, lumber, livestock, food processing, and recreation.
